Status Minor

Status Minor is a melodic progressive metal band consisting of five highly competent musicians: Markku Kuikka - vocals, Sami Saarinen - guitars, Jukka Karinen - keyboards, Eero Pakkanen – bass and Rolf Pilve - drums. The crew has also garnished fame with groups like Thunderstone, Thaurorod, Solution .45 and Miseration just to name a few.

Status Minor's long-awaited debut album "Dialog" has received praising reviews all over the world. (BURRN! 92/100, Lords of Metal 89/100, Imperiumi 9+/10 & album of the week) The band has done a good deal of live performances, forging their songs into a rock-solid live set which has been seen to drop the jaws of even the most cynical critics to the floor. Now with their second album in the making, Status Minor is prepared to blow your minds big time. You are able to follow the progress in their studio diary.

Kiana is a 6-piece modern metal mayhem from Finland. It combines together melodic death metal with many accessible factors: catchy chorus parts with clean vocals, trembling low end guitars and melodic hooks that catches the attention. The band was founded 2005 and it has been developing its own sound ever since. The core of the band has been the same since the beginning as Wellu, Antti, Jarno and Jani keep pushing the band forward relentlessly.

So far Kiana has released two self financed EP's (Deep Inside-06, Reflections-08) which both gathered great reviews, and they released their debut album Abstract Entity via Symbolic Records Finland at the end of September 2009. Abstract Entity has been a great success; it rose straight to the official Finnish top-40 list, to a place 31. It’s a big achievement and a reward after the long and hard working. The album was also noticed worldwide and the feedback has been more than good.

When performing live Kiana really shows its needle sharp teeth. Gigs can be described as joyful bursts leaving no one cold. So far Kiana has played +70 gigs here and there and more is to come soon. The band is ready to take the next step and is stronger than ever.

Ghoul Patrol

Ghoul Patrol is a death 'n' roll band which was formed in 2005 by guitarist Jani "Boogie" and former vocalist Henri Harberg. Wanting to bring something new to the Finnish metal scene the band started to compose songs and rehearse actively in 2006 when drummer Petri Mäkipää joined them. Next to join the band was Kride Lahti (Dead Shape Figure). Kride played lead guitar until the spring of 2008.

Beginning of 2008 brought quite a few changes to the course of Ghoul Patrol. Harberg decided step aside due to lack of time. He was replaced by Jukka Pihlajaniemi who immediately started to write lyrics for the band's first release. In the spring the band started to record drums for "Death Fuckin' Roll!" in the legendary Finnvox studios. At this point Ghoul Patrol still lacked a bass player and they agreed that the only guy suitable for the task was their longtime friend David Forder.

After the recordings Ghoul Patrol decided try their friend Albert Orma as a second guitarist. Line-up started to take it's shape and "Death Fuckin' Roll!" was reaping the harvest. The band's MySpace page gathered listeners and praises from all around the world. The EP also got great reviews in Finnish metal media – unsigned band of the month in Noise.fi and Imperiumi.net (among others).

After few appearances in Finnish clubs Ghoul Patrol got a chance to play overseas in Scotland. In October they played in Perth, Elgin and Aberdeen with Scottish death metal band Bonesaw. The response from the Scottish crowd was phenomenal and the mini-tour was a major success.

Back in Finland the band continued playing live actively. The highlight of 2008 was their December's show in Dante's Highlight – it brought the concept of Zombie Gore-Gore dancers to daylight. A sort of 50's pin-up theme mixed with zombie horror movies. The girls were an instant hit and have been a big part of Ghoul Patrol's shows ever since.

In the end of 2008 band started to record their second EP called "Hellfire Blues". The recording of the EP went smoothly. Due to unseen circumstances the EP's release was delayed and after almost six months from the recordings things were finally looking better. "Hellfire Blues" was released in March 2009. Again the release gathered praises trough out the media and again Ghoul Patrol was selected as unsigned band of the month in Noise.fi and Inferno Magazine.

In April the band recorded their third release "The 3rd Death Manifest", which was released in the early summer of 2009. Nomen Est Omen one might say because this was the third time Ghoul Patrol was selected as unsigned band of the month in Noise.fi. The release raised the band to another level and captured the attention of some labels as well as promoters.

Ghoul Patrol has played actively live since the beginning their active existence and will continue doing so. Next step will be recording a full-length debut album in 2010. The band has plenty of killer songs to choose from and the album will include the 10 best of those. All that is left to complete the puzzle is record label who believes in the potential of the band in the same way as the Finnish metal crowd, media and the bands they've played with along the years.

Anger Cell

Anger Cell started to form in the summer of 2008. In 2009 the band performed live for the first time at Tuska festival after party in Virgin Oil Co.

Hailing from Riihimäki, Finland, Anger Cell has released one self-financed promotional recording in 2009 and is currently writing new material and conducting preproduction for the yet unnamed forthcoming promotional recording.

Anger Cell plays metal with a taste of something old and something new, combining modern metal and influences from the past decades.

Hammerhed

Hammerhed started to take form in the late 90's / early 2000. Originally it was just handfull of riffs that band's guitar wiz Hirvanen had put together. After several years and members coming and going, the band finally turned out to be what it is today. After serious songwriting and training, a new album is seeing daylight soon.

Hailing from Hellsinki, today's Hammerhed is hard core metal group at purest. Hammerhed is tight group of four friends. We mean business. We love Pantera. We love 80's thrash and heavy metal groups. We enjoy hard core and punk, cathcy riffs and solid songwriting. We don't give a flying fuck about classification. We don't really pay attention on being modern, proggressive or new school / old school / playschool. This is the shit we know and what we can do. One scene, no more, no less. Excpect no sircus tricks, 12 minute songs or cool EMO-singalongs. This is our street metal aggression.

Subscribe

Hungarian folk music mixed with modern metal? The answer is: SUBSCRIBE! Their music is a rich variegation of all kinds of music styles. All sorts trickle from this musical palette; hardcore is prevailing but the influences of folk, jazz, reggae, metal and funk are multitude.

SUBSCRIBE was founded in 1999. Founder members were: Máté Tilk [vocals], Attila Horváth [guitar], Tamás Reich [guitar], Miklós Anga-Kis [bass] and Attila Rékasi [drums]. The band is called SUBSCRIBE since Bálint Csongor [vocals] joined the band in 2000.

They played on the main stages of almost all major festivals in Hungary (Sziget, Volt, Wanted, Efott, Balatone, Azfeszt, Sportsziget etc.). After a vast number of shows and festivals in 2004 the first record was finished and released that year (2004 December, EDGE records). The album "SANITY HAS LEFT THE BUILDING" consists of 12 high quality songs.

The first preview show for the album resulted in a full-house party in Budapest's most popular alternative club: Kultiplex. The band is the biggest and most respected (both by the fans and the critics) “underground” Hungarian band, with the biggest audiences in their style.
